November 8

Please join us on Saturday, November 8th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm for a silent retreat led virtually by SRF monastic Brother Satyananda titled, “Pursuing Pratyahara.” Pratyahara, as outlined by the ancient sage Patanjali and recounted in the SRF Lessons by Paramahansa Yogananda, means interiorization of the mind. This retreat will focus on how we can achieve this “withdrawal of consciousness from the senses” in meditation — and thereby deepen our sadhana and experience of God.

The day will include:

  • Group practice of the Energization Exercises
  • A long period of meditation
  • And periods of chanting

Come prepared to sit still in deep silence.

There will be a 35-minute intermission at 3:55pm. The third floor will be open for those who would like to bring a snack to have at that time.
