
April 3: Our Good Friday Service will be held on Friday, April 3, from 6:30-8:00 pm. Due to this special service, the regular 3-Hour Meditation has been cancelled.

April 4: Please join us on Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm, for a day of fellowship and karma yoga. The day will begin with a short period of meditation followed by time for Seva (service) during which we will undertake several small, light, cleaning projects to beautify our spiritual home. The day will end with another short period of meditation followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch. This is a wonderful opportunity to help out and make new friends! All are welcome!

April 5: On Sunday, April 5, the SRF Easter Sunrise Service from Mother Center will be livestreamed in the main chapel from 10:00-11:00 am. After a short break, the Meditation Service will be held until 12:00 pm.
Afterwards, our monthly Chanting Service will be held in the main chapel from 12:30-1:30 pm. The service consists of chants alternating with brief periods of meditative silence. Many devotees find these longer chanting sessions helpful in deepening their meditations. If you plan to attend, please be seated in the chapel by 12:25 pm.

April 12: The Young Adults Group will meet on Sunday, April 12 at 12:15 pm in the third floor social area. All young adults, ages 18-40, are invited to join in this hour of fellowship and discussion, followed by a vegetarian lunch.

April 16: The Thursday evening Inspirational Service, held from 6:30-8:00 pm, will be monastic-led.

April 17: On Friday, April 17, a Monastic-Led Service will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm, followed by a Fellowship Social with light refreshments from 8:00-9:00 pm. Please note that the regular 3-Hour Meditation has been cancelled.

April 18: The SRF monks’ kirtan group will lead an evening of music, chanting, and meditation on Saturday, April 18, at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, from 6:00-8:00 pm, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of a historic moment in Paramahansa Yogananda’s early years in America — when he led an audience of thousands in singing the devotional chant “O God Beautiful” at Carnegie Hall in April 1926. (Please note that this event has been SOLD OUT)
If you are unable to join us in person, please tune-in by meditating with us from 6:00-8:00 pm.

April 19: On Sunday, April 19, please join us at 630 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10016 (Armenian Church Social Hall- 630SECOND) from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, for a Monastic-Led Meditation and Inspirational Service with kirtans, and from 12:15-3:00 pm for a lunch social and musical performance by visiting artists. Reservations are required to attend. Please note that NYCC will be closed until 3:00 pm. At that time, the Bookroom will be open until 4:00 pm.
To enter 630SECOND, use the street level entrance, closer to 35th St. Please don't go up the stairs to the Armenian Church, as they will be holding services.

April 26: After our Sunday Meditation Service, a recorded monastic talk by Sister Ranjana entitled, Balancing Our Material and Spiritual Lives, will be shown in the main chapel from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. In this talk, Sister Ranjana encourages us to consciously choose to focus on the things that will bring us the greatest fulfillment, rather than worldly distractions. When we simplify life and make regular time for meditation, it helps us to cultivate inner peace and experience the great happiness that comes from living in attunement with the Divine.
